Full-Blown is a burst of power. It is a warning. It is a phenomenon. For the young, it is a precautionary tale. For others, it is a life raft. Full blown is for the girl at a crossroads and therefore it is for every girl. Every day from sun to moon we are faced with choices. Full blown is my gift to my daughter, my nieces and all women.

My purpose is to remind, refuel and redirect the vision of self. I have found that stifling dreams and suppressing self-worth quiets the beast yet unsettles the soul. What you call sacrifice today, is actually oppression. It is the bridling of the little girl inside of all of you. That uninhibited little girl who wanted to run wild and rule the world. Inside she remains, caged, howling at the moon, haunting you and finally, one day, she emerges and with all her power, spins you, twists you, unsettles the pale version of yourself-- and that is the beginning of your journey.

“In a reoccurring daydream, I am in a crowded room with hundreds of women. I am lifted above them and looking for another head up in the crowd. Does anyone feel like me? Anyone?"

I am aware of an energy that invades the lives of some women. An energy that I have most recently named Full-Blown. I did not find the term in a book. I did not Google® it. Nobody told me about it. I just knew it was right.

First, I experienced it and then I watched and counted as I saw others go through it. My friend once declared, "In a reoccurring daydream, I'm in a crowded room with hundreds of women. I'm lifted above them and I'm looking for another head up in the crowd. Does anyone feel like me…anyone?" THAT is Full Blown. By chance, we actually went through this phenomenon together. For this period of our lives, we were physically and spiritually connected. It was necessary for our survival.

Full Blown by definition is having or displaying al the characteristics necessary for completeness. We have discovered that at the height of reaching that completeness there is a point in a women's life when the girl inside muscles her way back into the life of the women in order to awaken the spirit and soul. It is a final burst of indescribable energy.

Her self-defined purpose depends greatly on the life of the woman and the choices she has made thus far. For the woman who has deserted her adolescent dreams-- it is a reminder. For the woman who has been stifled all her life by forces she could not realize or control -- it is a burst of confidence to make positive changes.

Full-Blown can spin you 360 degrees or it can take you in another direction. It is a final, beautiful, and very intentional phenomenon. Yet be warned. It creates change-- which ultimately creates friction. The girl takes over and the woman is left to do all of the explaining.

In our experiences, Full-Blown brought a whirlwind of welcomed chaos into my life and my family took the ride with me.  For my friend, who was living a composed, demure life - it introduced chaos and created change. In becoming Full-Blown, she woke to realize she was living a half-life. She found the strength to reintroduce herself to the world and now, for her, the world is a far, better place. Full-Blown gave her the confidence to shed generations of suppression. Full-Blown allowed her to take flight and in doing so she has become a powerful force and role model for her children.

You can't put your finger on the symptoms of being Full Blown. They are as varied as the women the energy invades. But it is comforting to find that other women are either going through it with you or have already taken the journey. It is essential to know that you are not alone, not crazy, not ridiculous. Full-Blown Women on the Verge offers the freedom to unwind, unload and celebrate the experience. It welcomes you to a world where you are not judged but understood. A mini book and interactive journal - it is intended to offer a beacon of light during a wild ride.

I am reaching out to women who have taken that ride and asking that they anonymously share bits and pieces of their Full-Blown journey thru storytellings, quotes, lyrics, art and photography.
